My name is Teresa Joy Mack, and my path to becoming a mixed-media artist began with a moment of clarity in 1994. After completing my goldsmith apprenticeship, I realised that creating jewellery with gold and diamonds didn’t align with my values. I wanted to serve a wider community, use environmentally conscious materials, and create art that was accessible to more people.
My lived experience of autism, ADHD, chronic illness, and belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community has profoundly shaped how I create. The death of my friend’s son in 2012 opened my eyes to the real need for meaningful pieces that celebrate who people are and provide genuine comfort during life’s most difficult moments.
These experiences taught me that everyone deserves to feel seen and valued, regardless of their circumstances or budget.
I create mixed-media jewellery, keepsakes, and gifts using traditional goldsmithing techniques combined with modern methods like 3D printing and laser engraving. Working primarily with recycled copper, wood, polymer clay, and resin, I craft pieces that tell stories through multiple materials and techniques.
You’ll find copper settings with natural stones, resin pendants with embedded polymer clay elements, wooden hearts with tiny footsteps, and layered compositions incorporating angel wings, nature scenes, and symbolic elements. Each piece combines craftsmanship with meaning.
My work serves two essential human needs: celebration and comfort.
Celebration pieces honour identity and self-expression – spiritual symbols, funny quotes, LGBTQIA+ pride items, and motivational pieces that say “this is who I am.”
Comfort pieces provide solace during difficult times – memorial items for baby loss, pet bereavement, and grief support pieces that offer tangible connection during loss.
I offer a wide range of products to ensure accessibility, from bookmarks and keyrings to bespoke one-of-a-kind pieces. Regardless of price point, every item receives the same care and attention because everyone deserves to feel valued and seen.
